Seventeen Saloon is a bar with the look and feel of an old American western saloon. It’s a great nightspot featuring a live Filipino band and friendly staff. Prices are a little on the high side but free entry and great live music make it worthwhile.

Been there 3 times lured back by 1 of the flirtatious bar girls who all dress in cowboy boots and ensembles reminiscent of the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders. The live music from the Filipino band is a bit loud and cheezy for my tastes but it’s a fun place with a group or at the bar if solo (see opening comment:)). Cheapest beer is a not-so-large Tiger draft for about 80,000. Bargirls there work long hours for a salary of less than 1m vnd/month, feel free to tip.

I landed in this bar on my first night in HCMC. I found the staff most accomodating to the tourist and the band was really good and entertaining. There were a handful of local girls looking for a night earn and were not shy in advancing and hooking up with the tourist men. A lot of fun but remembering that girls dont go home with you for love – they demand 1 million dong in the morning.
Good fun but make sure you think ahead and dont let a lady rip you off. Im sure all this type of bar in saigon would be full of these ladies.

i’ve been there last february in saigon,but i cannot reach that place.but my boypren living in saigon who always go for fun on that place and he told me he really enjoy in jumming with the band and to the intertainer girls esp to the filipino and filipina guys.my boypren is a pilipino thats why he loves filipina.by june i will be coming back there and i promise to visit that place.really, saigon is the best place for bars,hangouts,fun to relax and so many em’s means ladies in vietnam.they are loving and sweet.

Mon bar actuel préféré … Happy hours, bons groupes qui jouent de la bonne musique et staff adorable !
Malgré la siutation stratégique “pourrie” de touristes et d’expats, c’est un coin sympa où les filles ne sont pas “harcelantes”. Les prix sont élevés mais dans la norme pour le quartier et ce type d’endroit.
