Lush Bar, located on 2 Ly Tu Trong Street in District 1 is large and well furnished with contemporary lounge decor on 2 levels. Great DJs playing the latest hip hop, rnb and pop tunes keep the mixed crowd of locals, expats and tourists bopping along. The bar gets packed to the brim after 10:00pm on weekends and drinks are a little on the expensive side but still one of the better bars in Saigon nonetheless.

It’s full of prostitutes and their gangster boyfriends. As an Asian American, I went to this club with my Viet American girlfriend and her sister. A group of Viet gangsters and their girlfriends started pushing my girlfriend around on the dance floor. I pushed them away and they started throwing punches at me. One of the guys even punched my girlfriends sister! What a bunch of cowards! Then a short guy and security pull me away, leaving the gangsters alone. Security even pulled my girl away while one of the guys was hitting her. He tells me they are his friends! They would have stayed in the club if my girlfriend didn’t call the cops who did nothing when they showed up. By that time the gangsters took off in a cab. Watch out if you are a foriegner as the gangsters and security are friends.

Wouldn’t say full of prostitutes – that would tend to make it more interesting! Yet certainly there are some in there. There are many women in there with straight day jobs, who appear not to be prostitutes but will certainly do “after hours” business if the price is right. Adds to the confusion. What it certainly is full of, with monotonous regularity, are local foreign expatriate men and wealthy Vietnamese/overseas Vietnamese males looking for some company – in a desperate search for an alternative to Korean karaoke bars and expensive discos, or, heaven help us; the backpacker bars. Often I’ve noticed that males outnumber females by 2 to 1. Not a good ratio, unless you’re female of course. A beer will cost you 75,000 VND.

Very nice, very fantastic place but a lot of dramas there. It’s always out of control. Music and drinks are perfect.

Visited Lush last Thursday October 30, 2008. The place was happening. Not too many expats and the right amount of girls. Had a great time. Met a beautiful girl from Hanoi. It’s much better than Apocalypse Now in my mind.

A good place to go. If you like hip hop and R&B you should definitely go there.

One of the few good places for good music in Saigon. Definitely not full of prostitutes, though there are usually a few of the wealthier single set around if you fancy trying your luck. Every time I’ve been in there (around a couple dozen times in the last 2 months), it’s been mostly full of Vietnamese or Viet Kieu, not that many expats around, guess they’ve been going to Apoc in search of chicken more recently.
Hip hop on a tuesday night, rest of the week rotates between electro house and hard dance (though not quite hard enough for my personal taste). It’s the closest to a real “western” style dance club I’ve managed to find, and the only one not just full of hookers and over age expats looking for prostitutes.
If you want a good clean night out with friends with good music and no hassle, then this is the place.

Yes, Lush is very good bar in Saigon. They have a ladies night on Tuesday. Free drink for ladies the whole night. There isn’t anywhere that does that. Great funky house music on Saturday.

LUSH is my favorite one at the moment!
Especially I usually go there on Tuesday, crowded enough, good music, beautiful girls, drink price reasonable, friendly bartenders.
Hip hop music, happy hour before 9:30PM, the drink price even cheaper around 25.000 to 40.000 VND
What can I say? A best Bar in SAIGON.
The thing that I don’t like is small dancing area!

YUCK, Generally speaking, it is better than Apo. However, the attitude needs to be changed. Does security guard need to be at the entrance to select who should be allowed to go inside? It isn’t like they are searching for weapon.

It’s really really exciting at Friday, from music to the design and the atmosphere in here. In my opinion, Lush is the best Bar in Saigon for everyone… u should try once there ^^

It’s a decent place for hanging out with friends. However, due to over crowded folks. You probably is going to have a hard time finding a spot to locate. There are tons of hot chicks. The food is decent. Be sure to dress up or you wont be able to get in.
Gotta try it once when you are here….

Lush was full of pretentious losers… Too many pigs looking for hookers.. The girls behind the bar were useless ditzy morons.. Ordered my drink 3 times and never got it.. Why have “Girls drink free” if they really dont wanna give it up!! Had to get my partner to demand my drink… over crowded and crap club..

Hi all, visiting Saigon in the next couple of months. Looks like this place is one of the best bars in town for some good house and hard dance music. What is the dress policy for Lush Bar and also other bars in Saigon? What do you need to be wearing to get in?!? Can you wear shorts or do you need to wear jeans if you are a male? Also apart from Lush Bar what is everyone’s best other bars in Saigon that we should check out?!?

Good club….My Bangkok girlfriend and I took limo from Legend hotel and drove around looking for a good time. Stopped in LUSH for a few hours…..Excellent music, exspensive drinks 100,000 dong (Vodka 7up), more chix than dudes. No problems…..Smoking should be banned in club…! Overall, good time

Best Club In Vietnam! I have been there at least 50 times over the last 3 years. Last time I went with three girls, they would not let me in because they said the girls were not 21, (they were 20-25) There is no law in Vietnam that requires people to be 21. There is no age to drink in Vietnam! The young girl 20, was my girlfriends cousin and was not dressed with expensive cloths so they would not let her in! There is an unspoken dress code! make sure you dress your country side girls up or they wont let you in. Many 18 year old girls inside with nice cloths! They are “liars” just like the vast majority of people you will meet here! Ill go back because its the best club in Vietnam! Make sure you dress up your country side girl friends or they wont let you in!

1 half year ago i was there with my wife, seating at the bar dowstairs. Some carzy guy throw a glass from upstairs which ended up on my front head then on my right hand, cutting 3 tendons and 2 nerves.. blood started to flow heavily.. almost no time to realize what was happening, taking some tissue papers and trying to limit the bleeding, we left the place for the closest hospital.. No one made a move at the bar, from the bar tenders to the security guys.. really shitty attitude.. no ones came to ask if we needed help.. by taxi and after trying 2 international SOS clinics (and 1 unbelievable stop at a nightmare local hospital), i’ve ended up at FV Hospital and got operation 6 hours later, 1 night hospitalization (3500 US$) and had a plaster for 1 month.. Now as souvenir from Lush i’ve a nice large scarf looking like a 7, .. a lucky number isn’t it?! Be careful if you go there, don’t expect any one to help in case of problems, and of course do not stand under the mezzanine! otherwise the people you will see there are the same you will meet at any other bar/disco in VN, nothing particular, the usual “cocktail” of expat foreigners, locals, hookers and sexy “divas” ..

Well guys and gals I was there for one night only with three ladies and 4 other guys, personally we all had a ball, no stress and the music was great, hip and happening.
No hassles getting in and no hassles while we were in there, I guess if you sit at the bar looking like a tool then you might get picked on but for us we were all over the floor for three hours.
As I said that was my first time there and I would not blink a eye to go back again, all good fun, and yes there were working class Ladies there and just normal people having a great time.
What club in Vietnam or for that case the world does not have any working class girls in there, would be boring as shit if they were none correct.

Visited HCMC for about 6 nights and went to Lush 4 times, every night people invited me to drink with them and I met hot vietnamese girls every time. It is a fun club with good music and easy to talk to people.

i can understand why allmost my friends in Saigon prefer this place, a good choice for someone who looking for a one night stand girlfriend.
